METABOLIC CONDITIONING

A Met Con Provides a high intensity workout using a combination of strength/resistance training methods with anaerobic conditioning exercises. Post session the metabolism can remain in an elevated state for up to 48 hours, this means your body continuously burns fat throughout the day even after you stop exercising. SUSPENSION & BODYWEIGHT

Suspension and Bodyweight training at FFS places a large emphasis on developing these correct movement patterns. Muscular endurance/ toning just so happen to be fantastic by product’s of this type of functional training. Our coaches incorporate themes form the most current and popular training methods e.g. Kettle-bells, TRX/Suspension training etc.
 

Through Suspension and Bodyweight Training we use a combination of the best training equipment (TRX, Kettlebells, Bulgarian bags, Heavy ropes) as well as free movement exercises in order to fully develop a symmetrical and agile physique.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

Strength and Conditioning classes are tailored to all of our clients needs, following regular assessment by the coaching staff as well as periodised strength testing (typically on 6 week cycles). The group training format allows clients of all strength levels to achieve their goals.
 

Strength and Conditioning Training at FFS is the perfect type of training for those looking to develop lean muscle mass, gain strength and improve functional ability.

BODYWEIGHT BLITZ

A Bodyweight Blitz at FFS is a thirty minute session that is designed to target muscular endurance whilst improving cardiovascular fitness. The first half of the session targets the muscular endurance system using your bodyweight and light resistance through functional movement patterns. The second portion of the session contains a short and very intense portion of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).

OLYMPIC LIFTING

Olympic Weightlifting is a competitive sport which involves learning and becoming proficient at the snatch and clean & jerk.

 

At FFS, our Olympic Weightlifting course runs in 14 week blocks and teaches you the lifts by breaking each one down into its main components, or phases. Olympic weightlifting improves basic movement skills, builds lean muscle and as a highly technical sport, continual improvement is massively rewarding.

Animal Flow

Animal Flow® is a dynamic, ground-based style of training that is a complete workout in its own right. This practice of bodyweight training combines cardiovascular conditioning, muscular endurance and multi-planar movements that will carry over to any sport, activity or day-to-day life.

 

Animal Flow® incorporates six components of movement exercises that each promote a specific benefit: wrist mobilisation; activations; form specific stretches; travelling forms; switches; flows.
